Job Location: Remote working
Responsibilities:
Working remotely to create parametric 3D CAD models of product components using PTC CREO 5 and/or newer software based on guidance from the company’s engineering director.
Skills & Experience:
- Creo Parametric Expert – Super User skills and experience
- 3D Modelling using CREO Advanced Assembly techniques
- 3D Modelling using CREO “Master Modelling” methodology and techniques
- 3D Modelling using surfaces for complex organic and free-form shapes
- Expertise in designing plastic parts to be produced by injection molding and thermoforming
- Expertise in designing mold cavities to be used for injection molding and thermoforming
- Creative thinking and problem-solving using 3D-CAD modelling tools
- Making 3D-CAD files and 2D mechanical drawing documentation to be used for prototyping, quote packages, and tooling design
- Hands-on experience building prototypes and proof of concept samples
- Having hands-on experience using 3D printing / rapid prototyping processes
Professional Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Proficient using video conferencing software: MS-Teams, Skype, Zoom
- Proficient using MS-Office products: MS-Word, MS-Excel
- Following direction given in meetings including taking notes and being organized
- Having ability to work independently, as well as within a team environment
- Contributing to brainstorming, design reviews and weekly project meetings
- Willingness to learn from different perspectives working with multidisciplinary teams
- Eagerness to develop new skills and improve on existing capabilities
- Comfortable with deadline driven projects and working in a self-directed culture
Additional Skills & Experience: Desired but not required
- Familiarity with injection molding processes and machinery
- Previous hands-on fabrication work, building prototypes or doing mechanical repairs
- Autobody repair, equipment mechanic, machinist
