Role Overview
You’ll be working closely with a friendly team of developers to build out our multi-award-winning Learning Management System (it’s basically an online learning portal, with a huge amount of functionality). You’ll also be developing our eLearning Authoring Tool and the API for The Knowledge Arcade, our bite-sized learning app. There’s lot to do and plenty of scope for you to get stuck in and join the fight against dull online learning!
Role Responsibilities
- Work with product owners and developers to build new features and provide enhancements
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of existing functionality
- Contribute to technical problem-solving discussions with the team
- Provide accurate timing estimates on work
- Assist with testing where required
- Contribute to documentation
Desirable Role Requirements
- Experience with in-memory caching systems such as Redis
- Experience working on large projects as part of a team
- Knowledge of an OOP MVC framework such as Laravel
- Experience building highly scalable systems
- A decent understanding of apache server configuration and CLI
- Experience with MongoDB
- Knowledge of SCORM and xAPI
- Experience with PHPUnit
- Experience with AWS
- Experience of working with a version control system such as Git
Solid Knowledge/Skills
- understanding of OOP PHP and SQL/NoSQL database structures (preferably MySQL)
- Good knowledge of coding best practices and scalability (we’re growing fast!)
- Thorough understanding of HTTP and security best practices when building web platforms
- · Experience in Laravel or Symfony frameworks(Must have)
- Good understanding of front end technologies HTML/CSS/Javascript
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Total-experience in MYSQL (Must)
- Experience in MongoDB/NoSQL
- Experience/Knowledge in React JS (Must)
- Experience /Knowledge in AWS Tools
- Team handling experience is a must, along with testing and reviewing team members’ code and exposure to client handling.
