Designation: – Sr. Sales Engineer.

Industry: Engineering.

Qualification: Graduate in Instrumentation engineering/Mechanical engineering qualification.

Experience:- 5 to 9 years.

Purpose of the Position

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for Demonstrating, selling, Installation, trouble shooting & providing after Sales support for the BU Engines & BU Plastics (focus on BU Engines) business to the customers in South India.  He’ll be responsible for business generation, new customer development and Maintaining Relationships with Accounts in the region. He is a sales specialist, with good contacts in the region. Would do direct sales by himself.

Main Tasks

  • Pre & Post sales Activities, including installations.
  • Further increase of business turnover in South India.
  • Business Generation, New Customer development.
  • Supporting customers in selecting and using sensors in applications.
  • Build direct contacts to key customers (build network and relations)
  • Exchanging information with other Engineers.
  • Organize marketing communications channel for company within the India territory.
  • Implement the strategy as described in the annual Target Agreement, keep learning and implement strategy into activities and plans.
  • Observe and report market activities (trends, competition, customers) to the SBF Product Manager.
  • Create and execute a Marketing Plan containing information regarding exhibitions, advertisement, competitors, special activities and seminars.


  • Establish and manage important customers.
  • Help choosing the right product for right application
  • Built Data base for Potential customer.
  • Monthly Report: Updated  Quotation / order / project list  & Planning
  • Annual plan: Events / Exhibitions, Special activities, seminar, Advertisement Etc.
  • Gather information on Competitors and their set up in his/ her Region along with other field information.
  • Perform Demo at field with Demo Equipment. Minimum 2 trials to be conducted in a Month.
  • Attend customer Related Problem with Support of Product manager
  • keep learning and implement strategy into activities and plans
  • Good contacts with the customers like Automakers Engine R&D, Systems Integrators, Plastics industries in the Southern India.
  • Fluent in English & Tamil
  • Willing to travel overseas
