Position Summary:
Seeking a civil-water resources engineer for the Water Resources Engineering, The preferred candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:
- Water supply and treatment
- Water transmission, distribution, and storage
- Pump stations
- Wastewater conveyance
- Wastewater treatment and re-use
- Stormwater Hydraulics and Hydrology
- Drainage Design
- Project Management
Job Responsibilities:
- Water production, storage and distribution analysis and design
- Wastewater collections, treatment and re-use analysis and design
- Preparing planning documents such as Preliminary Engineering Reports and Asset Management Plans
- Preparing construction plans, specifications, and estimates
- Stormwater hydraulic and hydrology engineering and preparation of Drainage Reports
- Successfully interfacing with multi-disciplinary design teams, including civil site design, structural, surveying, and geotechnical engineering that may be in the local office or through virtual collaborations in other offices
- Participating in local professional organizations and meetings
- Travel to project sites and client meetings throughout the region
- Developing long term relationships with clients
Special Skills:
- AutoCAD and Civil 3D with storm and sanitary analysis knowledge and understanding preferred
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software for water distribution and wastewater collection systems along with drainage analysis modeling is preferred (EPANET, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA), SRH-2D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, etc.)
- Candidates must have progressive design experience
- Strong communication and time-management skills are required
- Experience with small and medium municipal systems, experience with large municipality systems preferred
