Job Responsibilities:
- Distribution Network: Produce construction quality design job packages for gas and/or electric work orders related to the company’s gas and electric facilities.
- Transmission: Network: To perform complex manual and/or automated drafting duties related to electric Transmission: Network and Distribution Network systems; and to post related information to maps and records. Prepares finished working drawings for construction and alteration projects from basic design by engineers and construction and construction standards book data. Prepares street lighting circuit and wiring diagrams, feeder switch maps, details of gas service installations, and new atlas sheets; occasionally makes field observations and measurements to secure data for drawings; performs expert freehand lettering as well as with guides. - Transmission: Network: The Engineering Design Drafter II prepares finished 2D and 3D drawings for all Engineering disciplines related to electric Transmission: Network, Distribution Network, and substations projects covering voltage levels from 25V DC up to and including 500kV AC. Ensures 2D and 3D drafting/modeling deliverables conform to company standards, operating rules, safety orders, government regulations, and national guidelines as directed by senior designers and engineers. Technical Responsibilities
- Distribution Network: Use AutoCAD and other drafting systems to produce construction quality design job packages for gas and/or electric work orders related to the company’s gas and electric facilities
- Transmission: Network: Familiar with AutoCAD 2016 or newer. Trained in National CAD standards through experience or classroom training. Familiar with technical standards/specifications. Trained in use of standard Windows and Office 365 software. Able to use desktop/laptop
- Transmission: Network:Must have basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, Scanning, Raster Editing, and AutoCAD. Experience related to the design and construction of electric utilities is desirable.
