Responsibilities
- Will undertake the role of lead designer and project manager for projects. Actively involved in all project phases from initial client contact, business development efforts, feasibility studies, master planning, design, construction, timelines, and budgets.
- Will coordinate with clients, management, and external consultants in and out of site visits.
- Will supervise and coordinate the team through the creation of visualisations and drawings, presentations, schedules, specifications, and photomontages for projects.
- Contributes to the leadership of the overall team, working alongside directors and associates to help shape the business direction as well as recruiting to suit key roles and vacancies.
- Prepare concise technical and financial reports, lead conference calls, client meetings,
- presentations, and workshops, as well as prepare scope of works, proposals and respond to Tenders/ RFP’s for projects.
- Maintain quality standards thorough knowledge of best practices of design applications, using construction and planting material, construction methods and the integration of landscape architecture and urban design with other disciplines.
- Assist group and office leadership with implementation of office-wide technical standards and maintenance of technical and design resources files and systems.
Skills Required
- Excellent design visualization skills with proven experience in masterplan and concept designs, digital as well as hand draw is an advantage.
- Proficient in, and able to supervise the use of the following software: Microsoft Office Suite applications, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc), other 2&3D rendering and modelling software.
- Experience in hard & soft landscape design with a thorough knowledge of landscape architecture and urban design. Supported by strong knowledge in construction materials and methods, and horticultural plants relevant within the context of Nigeria.
- Technically competent in preparing landscape design projects from feasibility through to implementation, on time, on budget and up to standard, while simultaneously interfacing with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrable track record in business development including strategies and client
- relationship development.
- Strong managerial and financial knowledge in budgeting and forecasting projects, with a focus in Nigerian or African markets being a plus. PMP Certification or related is a benefit.
