Position: Tooling Engineer- CNC Shop
Qualification: BE/ Diploma (Mechanical/Production)
Domain Knowledge Required:
Estimation of preliminary evaluation of Feasibility for machining from the cutting tool, perspective like Milling Cutter, HSS,SC & U-Drills, Rough & Finish Boring Bars, End Mill, Single point Turning Tools etc. for CNC Lathe, CNC VTL, CNC HMC & VMC,
Knowledge of Cutting Tool Nomenclature, Cutting Tool Geometry, Insert Selection etc.
Experience of handling the cutting tool suppliers and technical evaluation,
Knowledge of cutting Tool Inventory control & Cutting Tool Management,
Tooling selection for machining of the component and exposure to variety of tools,
Experience of working on Steel ,Stainless steel and High Alloy Machining,
Knowledge of Limits, Fit and Tolerances, GD&T
Roles & Responsibilities:
Tool Setting on Zoller Tool Pre-setter & Co-coordinating with the machine shop for the advance preparation of Cuttings Tool KIT and availability on all the machines.
Ensuring no Waiting time due to Cutting tool on any CNC Machines
Conducting Trials of cutting tools for productivity Improvement
Jigs & Fixture management and control
Maintaining the tool Inventory and maintenance of the tools available
Raising Indents and follow-up with Purchase for the timely delivery of the tools
Conducting Trials for the Productivity Improvement and making the Report
Implement the continual improvement process by change in tooling, Fixtures and Process.
