Urgently Required Assistant Director in a Well Known Resort – Udaipur Location.

Position: Assistant Director
Location: Udaipur (Rajasthan)
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the quality and development of the trip and tour program; and administration of the resort. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Client Experience:
• Create a holistic experience that makes guests feel safe and comfortable
• Ensure a high standard of service at our resort as well as with all vendors we partner with for our trips program
• Problem-solve and support staff with escalated issues
• Oversee the proper administration of the resort to ensure excellent service at the resort
Trips Budgeting, Logistics, Coordination and Execution:
• Oversee the logistics related to our trips and coordinate those details with staff and vendors
• Create and manage the budget for trips and the resort
• Identify areas for savings and efficiencies by maximizing resources and vendor relationships
Risk Management:
• Oversee and manage safety and health of guests, and ensure procedures are implemented and adhered to
• Provide immediate support and guidance to trip leaders to ensure the health and safety of trip participants
• Problem-solve escalated issues
• Ensure the Trips Standard Operating Procedures and India Risk Management guidelines are adhered to
• Ensure high standard of service and safety to participants including lodging, transportation, meals and volunteer experience
• Responsibility for 24 hour health emergency phone
Program Management:
• Strategic quarterly planning
• Manage quality connections and programming from the build site to community interactions to cultural experiences
• Management of logistics, including transportation, programming, bookings, accommodation, inventory, build site tasks, etc.
• Create and oversee the itinerary for guest trips and customization based on client needs
• Relationship management with third party accommodations, transporters, and vendors
• Work on an integrated basis with a variety of departments in the Toronto office
• Facilitate trips
Team Management:
• Provide leadership, management and supervision to the India trips team and fly-in facilitators who lead the trip experience
• Provide problem solving and logistical support to staff
• Recruit, train and develop Cultural Facilitators who are local staff from the region working on a contract basis
• Provide orientation to fly-in facilitators who arrive 1 or 2 days before their trip begins
Requirements:
• Excellent English and Hindi speaking, reading, and writing skills
• Budgeting and excel skills
• High level of professionalism with strong work ethic
• Strong team leadership and people management skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills that translates to a variety of stakeholders
• Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities within tight deadlines and to manage the time of the facilitators
• Public speaking
• Flexibility with delegated tasks and responsibilities as the position evolves
• Training and experience in risk management
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Experience coordinating youth and volunteer trips is an asset
• Creativity, initiative, and problem solving
