Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead Specialist in Finance and Accounting:
1. Participate in preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis.
2. Reconcile All the company’s bank and cash journals
3. Develop and maintain monthly journal entries. Month-end closing procedures in SAP.
4. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and generate correction entries as necessary
5. Monitor and verify every payment to be made before clearance for payment.
6. Investigate and analyse discrepancies, identify root cause and create adjustment entries by applying accounting standards
7. Organize, maintain, follow and communicate policies, procedures, processes and guidelines to meet the company’s needs in accordance with organizational standards.
8. Provide on-going support for identified initiatives and other responsibilities as required
9. Implement process improvements to accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness
10. Maintaining monthly payroll schedules. Ensure integrity and accuracy of information received from HR department.
11. Cross-department communication in line with established processes (Procurement, HR).
