Reporting – Managing director

Qualification: Electrical/ Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering Graduate from an Institute of repute.       

Experience: 5-7 years industry experience in various function of Sales & Marketing. Exposure of working with reputed Steel Mills mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Overall strategy of Marketing and Sales process in Roll Steel business segment in India, Middle East & Africa, and the implementation through the different teams outside HMI, as Factory and Roll Steel Sales and Marketing HQ are located in Japan as well as need to cooperate with other Group Companies and India local distributor(s), if any. 
  • Expected to provide direction to the business of the organization based on the contributions of the Marketing & Sales function. The role holder is at the apex of the Marketing & Sales function within an organization.
  • To develop and implement a marketing strategy that is directly responsible for achieving business results as per the business plan of the company.
  • To lead the efforts at creating and positioning the various products & ensure implementation of various strategies to enhance the market share of the Roll Steel products.
  • To provide inputs & facilitate new product development.
  • To monitor and provide course correction solution for achieving brand health objectives.
  • To manage the performance of the counterpart of this business, Factory and Roll Steel HQ in Japan, other Group Companies and India domestic distributor(s) through monitoring & developmental activities so as to ensure that the team goals are met.
  • To participate in respective Forums of bodies like Trade show, Technical seminaries and so forth for monitoring and updating latest market demand and direction to grow.
  • Would have a strong system of monitoring MIS and understand trends and ensure counter measures are taken.
  • To plan network development of Hitachi Metals, Limited Japan based on the business plan.
  • To ensure robust after sale service & customer care strategy including managing Roll Steel business

Skills Required

  • Strong customer focus, sense of initiative- Organizational skill with capability of handling multiple projects.
  • Extensive travel throughout the world.
  • Domestic marketing experience or exposure – including product commercialization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and ambiguity.
  • Strong market, financial and business acumen- ability to identify evaluate and rank upside opportunities and risks across business.
  • Excellent analytical skills, team focus and good exposure to commercial aspects like pricing, cost viability etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills- demonstrated ability to persuade others, build consensus and resolve conflict. Ability to work with multiple functions and on cross-functional teams – Ability to interact effectively with internal/ external customers.
  • Strong communication skills, including presentation
