We are hiring for one of our esteemed clients who is a 5-star boutique Hotel for Sales Manager position for Remote Location.
Designation: Sales Manager
Location: New Delhi- Remote position
Experience: 5+yrs
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group/catering-related opportunities. Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Ensures business is turned over properly. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives, to develop strategies to maximize Revpar, profitabilty and grow market share.
Financials & Planning:
*Achieves Room Revenue, Banquet and Outlet budget Revpar, Spa and other revenue budgets to be achieved.
*EBITDA margins to be in line with the hotel revenue.
*Budget planning to be done before the Financial Year.
*Sales plan to be submitted based on quarterly basis & segment wise details to be formulated.
Internal Process
*Functions as the strategic business leader of the hotels’ Sales Department and is responsible for property reactive sales.
*Functions as the strategic business leader of the hotels’ Sales Department and is responsible for property proactive account sales and segment sales, local and social catering sales, business travel sales, reservation sales and destination sales.
*Responsible for achieving revenue goals, guest and associate satisfaction and the financial performance of the department.
*Conducts meetings for the entire team to ensure an effective & synchronised approach for achieving the targets.
*Analyzes the Sales force client engagement along with the team.
*Submits RPF as per the guidelines received.
*Liaises with the credit manager to review the credit status.
*Co-ordinates with the Director of Finance to ensure all TPAM points are adhered to.
*Engages with Media companies for regular hotel coverage.
*Analyses the competition information along with DOS & team for effective pricing of the hotel.
*Plans Sales Blitz & reviews reports for the feeder cities for the hotel.
People:
*Partner with Human Resources to develop departmental workforce plans, hiring schedule, interview and select candidates that demonstrate the TATA and IHCL values along with core functional expertise. Assign buddies to new team members and monitor the progress of departmental induction.
*To set department and sub-department goals which are in line with the hotel and department strategies. Communicate goals, conduct Q-Chats (quarterly performance reviews), analyse performance and provide relevant input for training programs.
*Prepares departments duty rosters and approves leave in consultation with the department head.
*Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaches, mentors and helps others to improve their knowledge or skills.
*Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation, adhering to the standards of Tata Code of Conduct and values of IHCL.
*Identifies departmental and individual training needs, develops training calenders, conducts training and recommends suitable training programs to address individual capability gaps. Participate in certification of team members in key skills. Ensures self and directly reporting managers attend appropriate core training classes.
*Demonstrates a culture of recognition by actively participating in the STARS (Special Thanks and Recognition System) Program.
*Demonstrates a culture of Trust, Awareness and Joy by conducting departmental meetings, reviewing V-Connect feedback, drawing and implementing suitable action plans.
Audit And Compliance
*Reviews audit findings – Safety/Hygiene and TPAM (Taj Positive Assurance Model) and takes corrective measures to ensure full compliance.
*Prepares the internal audit checklists as per the IHCL Safety Guidelines.
*Adheres to all departmental legal compliances.
Safety
*Identify risks and develop HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment).
*Adheres to roles and responsibilities pertaining to safety as defined by the hotel from time to time as per the PCM (Progressive Consequence Management) SOP and IMBC (Incident Management and Business Continuity).
