Responsibility:
•Looking for a [Software Test Engineer] to conduct automated and exploratory testing to ensure product quality in our a rapidly growing online simulation software suite.
•As a [Software Test Engineer], the candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing tests that prove the functional and non-functional requirements of the system.
•He/she will ensure the software created by our team of software engineers fits its purpose and adheres to our coding standards.
•He/she will play an important part in our company’s product development process, working alongside our software engineering team debugging and identifying corrective actions to quickly resolve issues and produce testing to avoid regressions.
Our ideal candidate will monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to ensure our software runs smoothly and meets client needs.
Duties and responsibilities:
•Liaise with internal teams (e.g. software engineers and product managers) to identify system requirements
•Review requirements, specifications and technical and non-technical documentation to ensure product remains consistent with expectations
•Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
•Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
•Design, develop and execute automation scripts
•Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
•Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
•Prove scalability, security and performance of a software
•Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
Skills, requirements and qualifications:
•Strong attention to detail and a keen interest in troubleshooting and problem solving
•Experience testing/developing web applications written using PHP and JavaScript frameworks (using PHPUnit etc.)
•Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes (designing test plans, testing strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases and opening and verifying bugs)
•Ability to write thorough unit test cases to cover complex methods
•Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
•Experience automated Web UI testing (using Selenium etc.)
•Experience working in an Agile development process
•Experience with performance and/or security testing is a bonus
•Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject. Higher degree in a related subject will be advantageous
•Proven work experience in software development or software quality assurance
