We are hiring for one of our esteemed Clients in Shipping & Logistics Industry for the below mentioned profile

 

Designation: Vessel Operations- (Dry Bulk)

Location: Visakhapatnam

Experience: 1+Yrs

Position: Permanent

 

About the Role: The Person will be responsible for overseeing and handling daily vessel operations ensuring voyages are planned and executed as estimated in the most effective manner saving cost and time leading to optimum turn-around of the fleet.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Daily supervising the allocated fleet of owned and chartered in vessels with close eye on protecting the Companys interests at all times in operational matters.
  • Handle daily vessel operations whilst at sea and at port and post fixture matters on voyages from fixture stage to completion of the charter.
  • Closely liaise with all concerned parties to ensure smooth loading and discharging operations for both cargo and vessel, ensuring smooth turnaround.
  • Evaluate stow plans to ensure optimum cargo lift on the vessel.
  • Maintain close liasioning with port agents for efficient handling and staying updated with the latest port requirements.
  • Daily monitoring of voyage and vessel performance at sea and in port including speed/consumptions as described for the charter.
  • Ensuring strict compliance and adherence to the Charter Party.
  • Close liasioning with onboard Master for smooth operations including stow plan preparation, bunker planning, hold/tank preparation, voyage instructions, etc
  • Ensuring smooth correspondence between owners, charterers, vessels managers, etc are passed on correctly and dealt with promptly.
  • Invoicing for hire, freight, Laytime calculations and following up on outstanding hire / demurrage and other balances and operational debts.
  • Handling claims and Charter party disputes/discrepancies, Quantity disputes, and speed/consumption claims etc, liasioning with insurance companies and P and I clubs as instructed.
  • Liaising with port agents and bunker suppliers to ensure seamless bunker operations.
  • Maintain close liasioning with the chartering and finance team flagging any deviations from the estimated fixture.
  • Follow up on Statutory inspections/SIRE inspection/Vetting with Majors for tanker

 

Skills Required:

  • Good understanding in post fixture Operations and Charter Party terms and contracts.
  • Good knowledge of maritime accounts for post fixture operations and execution.
  • Negotiation, Problem solving and Coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work in team and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and preferably familiar with IMOS or similar vessel Operation management software.
  • Good in follow-through and attention to details
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management skills and meets timelines.
