Exp :10+ yrs

CNC Machinist with Horizontal Boring experience (Fanuc controls), required for Vector (S60 1FB)

Experience of setting, operating and programming CNC machines with FANUC Control Systems would be advantageous – some training can be provided to experienced CNC machinists who closely fit the spec.  

*Full customer order book for the next 3 years and beyond*

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• – Setting up and operating a Hyundai KBN135C machine to accurately produce large & heavy components for internal projects & orders
• – Although part programmes are created and verified offline, the candidate should display an ability to edit, adjust and create programs using Fanuc 31i machine controls
• – Machining exotic materials e.g. 625,718
• – Able to understand engineering drawings
• – Able to set or modify existing programs
• – In-process inspection using a variety of measuring instruments, ensuring that all castings and components confirm with specification
• – Implement/suggest tooling changes
• – Suggest process improvements to the engineering department
• – Assist and instruct others
• – Loading varying size components into the machines competently
• – Monitoring long cycle times

Our successful candidate:

• – Competent machinist, with experience from a similar role
• – Experience of working in heavy machining machine shop environment
• – NVQ 3 or equivalent in Engineering preferred
• – Strong work ethic
• – Willingness and ability to follow management directions to achieve results
• – Working on own initiative and with minimal supervision (after settling in period)
  • o Excellent timekeeping & communication skills
• – Enthusiasm and desire to learn
• – Ability to work alone and part of a team
