Job Location: Chennai
Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Job Summary:
The Senior Sales Manager plays a key role in the success of an organization. He plays a pivotal role in achieving the
sales targets through effective planning and budgeting and eventually generates revenue for the organization.
Essential Job Functions (Competencies):
Develop an annual business plan with growth objectives which details activities and objectives to meet or
exceed sales target for business growth.
Oversee all customer activities for account territory.
Conduct product sales presentations to cross functional audiences.
Define and manage territory budgets, strategic plans and customer engagement details.
Maintain accurate sales records, prospecting activities, complaints, market intelligence, product
agreements and customer expectations.
Negotiate key contracts or other required agreements to expand business opportunity with customers
and distributors.
Manage customer/distributor escalation and coordinate with internal team members to minimize
negative impact on business or create new opportunity.
Use market/customer intelligence to create vision, create strategic initiatives, and help with product
improvements.
Ensure internal alignment with customer expectations and manage for success.
Possess a high level of product and market knowledge, can advise and influence customers on
procedures, applications and techniques.
Build customer relationships and creating key industry partnerships.
Build excellent relationships with decision-makers in strategic accounts.
Has excellent appreciation of territory potential and manages territory well with great control.
Can handle difficult selling situations, complex product systems or large accounts with limited supervision.
Provide prompt response to customer’s requirements on training, new products, enquiry’s and services.
Understands the company’s selling philosophy and submits ideas and constructive suggestions to
management for new growth area.
Must be prepared to utilize 50% for overseas business trip.
Any other duties & responsibilities which the Management / Superior may assign from time to time.
