Excellent opportunity in a leading Power Transmission & Distribution  company for  Electrical Design Manager Position for Selangor D.E, Malaysia Location..

Designation :   Design Manager

Exp :  8- 10 yrs

Department : Engineering

Section : Switchgear Protection

Reports to : Deputy General Manager- Technical

Responsible for : Switchgear Protection

Locations – Selangor D.E, Malaysia Location..

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Lead and manage Secondary Design protection control for medium voltage in a manner that will meet industry standards and enhance quality and product offering of TTDA.

 

  1. Oversee design schematic drawing for utility, private and overseas based projects including the necessary design co-ordination whenever required.

 

  1. Provide technical services that will facilitate the localization process of Toshiba products.

 

  1. Provide site supporting services to ensure meeting internal and external clients’ business needs.

 

  1. Solve technical issues which include trouble-shooting or product defects that will effectively resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

 

  1. Coach and monitor designers’ work and take corrective actions when necessary.

 

  1. Carry out general managerial roles to ensure compliance with Company’s policies, develop the talent capability via training to ensure they acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and competency to carry out their responsibilities and achieve targets, ensure effective use of Company’s assets, establish good internal & external relationship and communication and to be a good role model.

 

Job requirement:

 

  • Degree in Electrical (Power) Engineering.
  • 8-10 working years in the same field.
  • Experience in leading design teams managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong technical knowledge in medium voltage protection & control (secondary design).
  • Willing to travel when necessary.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
