Designation : Business Development Manager

About Position 

 

The incumbent should possess excellent networking and communication skills to work with external stakeholders and business entities. He/She should have a good understanding of the education sector. The incumbent’s ability to negotiate is crucial in securing opportunities and closing revenue deals. Candidates should be good with management and multitasking skills to lead multiple business development projects and initiatives simultaneously. 

 

KRAs for the role: – 

 

  1. Revenue Growth 
  • Drive 50% of the total revenue targets set each year for different programs(NTO, NSO and Conference) 
  • Track revenue generation and business development efforts 

 

  1. Lead Generation 
  • Engage and persuade potential schools or partners identified within a given period of time 
  • Track the emergence and growth of new revenue streams 

 

  1. New Market Penetration & Partnerships 
  • Drive growth activities to enter new states/geographies/Group of Schools 
  • Track, drive and maintain strategic partnerships or alliances formed 

 

  • Reporting and periodic updates 

 

  • Prepare timely revenue matrix and updates for internal stakeholders 
  • Monthly reporting on lead generation and revenue number achievements

 

KPIs 

 

1> Visit 4 new schools and pitch the Organisation offerings to the leadership team in the schools every month. 

 

2> The incumbent should come out with inferences and action points for the marketing and sales teams to optimise results. He should guide the sales team in creating the right sales pitch. 

3> Build annual and monthly business development plan, and monitor its execution. Present a monthly report on the progress. 

 

4> Analyse the leads generated by the digital marketing team. In coordination with the digital marketing team, share a monthly analytics report on the demographic features, geography, behavioural patterns, buying behaviour of the potential consumers. 

 

5> He should be able to drive a business of minimum Rs 40 lacs in the first year), with 10% increase in the subsequent years.  

 

Please note – 

 

1> The person should be open to travel to different cities whenever required.  

2> The focus should be on business development, rather than on operations.
