Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of our construction company. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, risk management, funding strategies, and ensuring financial compliance, with a focus on supporting project profitability and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals and construction project timelines.
- Manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and working capital requirements.
- Analyze project costs, margins, and financial risks to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and industry standards.
- Liaise with banks, investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and board based on financial analysis.
- Supervise finance team members and foster a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of financial leadership experience, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong understanding of construction project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., ERP systems, QuickBooks, SAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
