KRA for GM – Sales & Marketing (Ayurveda Pharma)

  1. Revenue & Sales Growth
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across all regions.
  • Drive product-wise and region-wise sales performance.
  1. Market Expansion & Channel Development
  • Identify and onboard new distributors, stockists, and retail partners.
  • Improve secondary and tertiary sales penetration in targeted territories.
  • Launch new territories and increase distribution reach by ___%.
  • Strengthen relationships with Ayurvedic practitioners, pharmacies, wellness centers, and institutional buyers.
  1. Marketing Strategy & Brand Building
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans (digital + field + BTL).
  • Increase brand visibility through camps, promotional activities etc.
  • Lead product positioning and communication strategy in line with Ayurvedic principles.
  1. New Product Launch & Portfolio Management
  • Conduct market research for new Ayurvedic formulations.
  • Plan and execute successful product launches with sales training & marketing support.
  • Monitor product performance and optimize SKUs based on profitability and demand.
  • Coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory teams for timely rollouts.
  1. Team Leadership & Performance Management
  • Lead and manage regional managers, sales managers, and marketing teams.
  • Set KPIs for field force (MRs/TCs/ASMs/RSMs) and track performance.
  • Ensure effective training, motivation, and capability building of the sales team.
  • Reduce attrition and improve productivity per employee.
  1. Customer & Practitioner Engagement
  • Strengthen relationships with key Ayurvedic doctors, Vaidyas, and influencers.
  • Implement KOL (Key Opinion Leaders) engagement programs.
  • Ensure timely response to customer/practitioner feedback & product-related queries.
  1. Forecasting, Analytics & Reporting
  • Provide accurate demand forecasting to avoid stockouts/overstocking.
  • Monitor sales analytics: prescriptions, primary/secondary sales, ROI on marketing activities.
  • Present monthly business review reports to top management.
  1. Regulatory & Quality Compliance
  • Ensure all marketing claims align with Ayurvedic regulations & AYUSH guidelines.
  • Monitor adherence to ethical marketing practices and company SOPs.
  • Coordinate with the regulatory team for licenses, approvals, and packaging compliance.

 

  1. Profitability & Cost Optimization
  • Improve gross margins through pricing strategies and cost control.
  • Optimize marketing spend for maximum ROI.
  • Ensure distributor claims, schemes, and incentives are aligned with budget.
  1. Strategic Growth Initiatives
  • Drive strategic partnerships and collaborations with market.
  • Build a long-term roadmap for brand expansion.
