Designation : PHP Backend Devloper

Location: Remote

Experience : 2 + Years

DEPARTMENT – IT

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking an experienced PHP Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with CodeIgniter, a strong understanding of PHP development, and a passion for delivering clean, efficient, and scalable code. Experience with Vue.js is a significant plus, enabling collaboration with our front-end team on full-stack projects. Your written and spoken English should be excellent.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using PHP and the CodeIgniter framework.

  • Design and optimize database schemas to ensure application performance and scalability.

  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

  • Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code adhering to industry best practices.

  • Debug and resolve technical issues across the development lifecycle.

  • Contribute to system architecture and design discussions.

  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies to improve development processes.

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with the CodeIgniter framework.

  • Strong understanding of core PHP and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.

  • Proficiency in MySQL or other relational databases, including designing and optimizing queries.

  • Experience with RESTful API development and integration.

  • Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git (ideally GitHub).

  • Solid understanding of security best practices in secure development.

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Vue.js or similar JavaScript frameworks.

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for full-stack collaboration.

  • Exposure to DevOps tools and practices, such as Docker or CI/CD pipelines.

  • Familiarity with third-party APIs and services integration.

  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
