JOB PURPOSE

About the Job/Role Overview: 

We are looking for a talented and motivated Odoo Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on  experience in Odoo development & a keen eye for UX and design. This role demands deep  technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a problem-solving attitude. The ideal candidate  will have hands-on experience in Odoo development and customization, with the ability to  work independently and deliver quality output within deadlines. We’re hiring for a Saudi  Arabia based e-commerce company specializing in Eye ware products & equipment. You’ll  be responsible for implementing new features and ensuring a seamless user experience  across the e-commerce platform. 

An Odoo Developer plays an integral role in designing and maintaining robust and scalable  applications that support organizational efficiency and productivity. This role entails  developing and customizing Odoo ERP modules and themes, integrating Odoo with various  third-party systems, and working closely with business analysts and other team members  to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications. In this role,  you will leverage your extensive experience in e-commerce technologies to develop  scalable, high-performance solutions that enhance customer experience and drive  business growth. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing solutions while  collaborating with cross-functional teams. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • A detailed study of the existing business processes and understanding of the  customization involved. 
  • Develop and customize Odoo modules as per business requirements.  • Integrate third-party tools and systems with Odoo. 
  • Implementing payment gateway integrations. 
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality and adherence to coding standards. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, identify requirements and develop effective  software solutions. 
  • Participate actively in team meetings to discuss project goals and timelines. 
  • Mapping of the requirements with Odoo and execution of timely development.  Development and modification of new, custom modules as per requirements. 
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document software according to technical and  functional requirements. 
  • Troubleshoot and debug Odoo-related issues and provide technical support.
  • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance optimization. • Perform integration with different software applications. 
  • Stay updated with the latest Odoo versions and upgrades and implement them  where applicable. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the developed features. 
  • Perform unit testing and troubleshoot technical issues in Odoo and its  integration with other platforms. 
  • Optimise existing modules for performance and scalability. 
  • Customize existing Odoo modules for various departments like Sales, Purchase,  Inventory, Manufacturing, and Finance. 

Must-Have/Requirements/Required Skills 

  • Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, Unix/Linux platform, Python, JavaScript, XML,  HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
  • Complete understanding of Odoo ERP and open-source concepts. • Capable of working on the Odoo framework on the existing app and custom module. • Good technical support skills. 
  • Experience in Odoo deployment, upgrade, and performance tuning.  
  • Superior problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a  dynamic environment are essential for success in this role. 
  • Exceptional analytical, debugging skills and problem-solving qualities. 
  • 2-5 years of experience in Odoo development and customization. • Experience with Odoo Enterprise and Odoo.sh is advantageous. 
  • Strong knowledge of Python and Odoo frameworks. 
  • Understanding of Odoo’s ORM, business workflows, and UI/UX. 
  • Immediate joiners preferred. 

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, Information  Technology, or a related field.
