We are seeking a Liaison Officer (Techno-Commercial) with a strong background in Indian Railways’ technical and administrative systems. The ideal candidate will have established professional relationships within RDSO, ICF, RCF, MCF, CLW, DLW, and Zonal Railways, and will be responsible for coordinating product approvals, managing documentation, and ensuring timely communication between Tayal & Co. and railway authorities.
This is a field-intensive role requiring frequent travel, strategic relationship management, and the ability to interpret technical and procedural requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primaryliaison between Tayal & Co. and Indian Railways across technical, commercial, and administrative levels.
- Travel frequentlyto RDSO (Lucknow), production units, and zonal headquarters to follow up on approvals, prototype testing, inspection schedules, and other business matters.
- Facilitate themovement and tracking of files, QAPs, prototype approvals, and vendor registration processes.
- Maintain professional relationships with key officers and departments, ensuring smooth communication and procedural coordination.
- Collect on-ground feedback from officials and provideweekly reports to senior management on:
o Status of pending approvals and inspections
o Ongoing and upcoming business opportunities
o Competitive or procedural developments within Indian Railways procurement chains
- Coordinate product demonstrations, sample submissions, and site visits for RDSO or production unit officials.
- Monitor trial performance, inspection timelines, and approval progress across product categories such as FSDS, Air Springs, and EP Brake Systems.
- Ensure complete and accurate submission oftechnical documentation, compliance reports, and commercial correspondence.
- Support internal departments (technical, marketing, and quality) with live field information, feedback, and action points.
- Build and maintain a network of contacts across railway offices to anticipate and address procedural bottlenecks.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Deep understanding ofRDSO specifications, vendor approval workflows, and Indian Railways’ procurement hierarchy.
- Ability to read and interprettechnical documents, QAPs, and product approval clauses.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.
- Proven record of handling coordination with railway officials, inspectors, and consultants.
- Strong administrative discipline, documentation accuracy, and reporting capability.
- Willingness totravel extensively across India to railway offices, inspection sites, and Tayal & Co. production locations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate inEngineering, Business Administration, or Commerce.
- 5–15 yearsof experience in railway liaisoning, government relations, or government relations within the railway sectors.
- Candidates with existing connections inRDSO, production units, or zonal railways will be given preference.
