JOB TITLE  – JUNIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER 

DEPARTMENT : PROJECT MANAGEMENT

REPORTS TO : PROJECT MANAGER

ROLE : As Jr Mech Engineer, responsible for installation, commissioning & maintenance of plant machinery & equipment

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : 

• Primarily responsible for coordinating and working for all mechanical engineering activities in a plant.  
• Good knowledge in operational and maintenance activities in manufacturing facilities/ process industry.  
• Ensure supervision of all the mechanical installation, piping and maintenance work.  
• Execute all maintenance activities in the plant, including scheduling and performing the preventive and breakdown mechanical maintenance

WORKING CONDITIONS

• This is a site role, requires the employee to work at a BioCNG Plant site within fast paced working environment. The project lifecycle generally spans for 12 to 14 months, post which the employee is to be assigned to the next project/ central teams based on demonstrated performance

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: From Project Managers

SUPERVISION EXERCISED : 

• Vendors/ Labour  
• Mechanical Fitters 

EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : 

• Well versed with QA / QC procedures for mechanical & installation works  
• Knowledge of MS office 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

• Proven working experience of minimum 3 to 5 years. 
•  Experience on heavy industrial machinery, EOT cranes, conveyor system, trommels, large reactor tankboilers, piping, gas purification systems, compressors etc

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :   

• Work experience in Oil & Gas sector is preferred, but not mandatory 

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Sound knowledge of mechanical aspects of industrial equipment  
• Capable of reading OEM drawings and schematics
