JOB PURPOSE

We are essentially looking for. Number 2 to our Managing Director in India so maybe someone more at Associate /Principal level who has some experience managing teams and Lighting Design projects. Please see below for the Associate Lighting Designer job description:

Associate Lighting Designer

Associates will have earned a position of respect and trust within the practice and will be brought into confidences with respect to the operation of the company and to staff matters. They will act as line managers where necessary, with a number of designers reporting to them on issues such as professional development, training needs, annual leave, sickness reporting and occasionally personal matters reported to them.

• Above and beyond the role of Senior Designer, Associate Designers can work autonomously in respect of running projects. They will have exceptional organizational skills, coordinating the roles of many subordinate designers appointed to them.
• Associates are expected to produce fewer deliverables than their subordinates; instead, they are expected to be responsible for overseeing a greater number of subordinate staff and also projects at any given time.
• Associates are also expected to undertake a number of non-project related tasks. This will include business development, seeking new clients and opportunities, networking and promoting Nulty to existing and potential clients.
• Incorporating Nulty’s requirements and aspirations into their personal vision they will be fully conversant with profit and budgets in relation to projects for which they are responsible. Associates will contribute to working methods, education, training & development throughout the business, mentoring subordinate designers and inspiring them to create exceptional project outcomes.
• Associates will support the Director(s) in running the business. They will understand and implement where required processes including HR, Administration and business development plans.
• Associates will be responsible for requesting and coordinating resource allocated to them for projects and will adjust and monitor changes to resource as needed during the execution of their projects

Office Timing – 9 to 5 PM

Working days – 5 days
