JOB PURPOSE

 

Reports To: Director of Schools
Location: Corporate Office with occasional travel to campuses
Team Size: 7–8 (Admission Officers/Executives per location)

Position Overview

The Head of Admissions will lead, strategize, and execute the end-to-end admissions process across multiple K–12 campuses, ensuring high conversion rates, strong team performance, and alignment with brand goals. This role is responsible for managing enrolment targets, training admission counsellors, and improving parent experience throughout the admission journey.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement annual admission strategy and enrolment plans across all school locations.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor performance, and enrolment data to guide decisions.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to align campaigns with enrolment goals.

Team Management & Training

  • Lead, mentor, and review the performance of the admissions team across all campuses.
  • Build SOPs, scripts, and communication templates for inquiry handling and follow-ups.
  • Conduct regular upskilling, roleplay, and objection-handling training.

Parent Interaction & Conversion

  • Ensure a warm, informative, and consistent parent experience across campuses.
  • Personally handle escalated or high-value inquiries (e.g. corporates, influencers).
  • Review inquiry-to-conversion funnel weekly and ensure pipeline health.

System & Process Management

  • Implement and optimize CRM/ERP tools for lead management, follow-ups, and status tracking.
  • Standardize reports, dashboards, and lead conversion KPIs.
  • Ensure daily/weekly data updates from all locations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with Academics, Administration, and Marketing to ensure readiness for school tours, events, and orientations.
  • Partner with HR for team hiring, evaluation, and incentive plans.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in admission/sales management, preferably in K–12 or education sector.
  • Proven leadership experience with multi-location or multi-branch teams.
  • Strong command over spoken and written English & Hindi.
  • Data-driven, empathetic communicator with an eye for detail.
  • Experience using CRM tools, Excel, and admission tracking systems.

 

Preferred Attributes

  • Prior experience in CBSE/IB/ICSE school systems
  • Training/certification in customer engagement or admissions counselling
  • Willingness to travel across campuses as needed (minimum 2–3 visits/month)
