Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
1. Curriculum Management
o Lead the implementation of the ICSE & Cambridge Assessment International
Education (CAIE) curriculum, including IGCSE, AS, and A Levels.
o Ensure the effective integration of commerce-oriented subjects and promote
practical learning experiences.
o Stay updated on ICSE & Cambridge curriculum changes and train staff
accordingly.
2. Teacher Training and Mentoring
o Organize workshops and professional development sessions focused on
ICSE & Cambridge pedagogy.
o Guide teachers in lesson planning, assessment design, and classroom
delivery.
o Foster collaboration among teaching staff to enhance academic outcomes.
3. Student Development
o Promote holistic development, focusing on academics, co-curricular, and life
skills.
o Encourage entrepreneurial and business-related projects to align with
commerce-focused education.
o Provide academic counselling to students pursuing commerce and business
studies.
Administrative Leadership
4. Operations and Timetable Management
o Develop and manage academic timetables, assessment schedules, and
annual plans.
o Ensure smooth coordination of ICSE & Cambridge examinations and internal
assessments.
o Manage resources effectively, including textbooks, e-learning tools, and
faculty allocation.
5. Stakeholder Engagement
o Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and the ICSE & Cambridge
International board.
o Address parent concerns and provide regular updates on student progress.
6. Compliance and Quality Assurance
o Ensure compliance with ICSE & Cambridge International standards and
reporting protocols.
o Conduct internal audits to maintain academic and operational excellence.
Strategic Contributions
7. Institutional Branding
o Position the school as a center of excellence in ICSE & Cambridge curriculum
education.
o Promote the integration of global perspectives and local relevance in
commerce education.
8. Innovative Teaching Practices
o Encourage project-based learning, case studies, and simulations in
commerce and other subjects.
o Integrate technology and innovative tools for enhanced teaching and learning.
Qualifications and Skills
 Education:
o Master’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
o B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
 Experience:
o Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, with 3–5 years in ICSE &
Cambridge curriculum-based schools.
o Proven leadership experience in an academic setting.
 Skills:
o Strong understanding of ICSE & Cambridge syllabus structure and
assessment strategies.
o Expertise in teaching commerce subjects (e.g., Accounting, Economics,
Business Studies).
o Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
o Proficiency in using technology for education management.
