Job Description

Designation : Business Strategist 

Exp : 5+ yrs

Location – Mumbai -Lower Parel Location

Directly Reporting : Managing Director

 

JOB OBJECTIVE : 

 

The Business Strategist acts as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the [CEO/Executive Leadership], The role is to ensure effective execution of the Organization Strategy and leadership’s vision by managing cross-functional initiatives, coordinating with the Head of Departments (HOD’s) and driving strategic priorities. The job also is to provide operational and administrative support to the Head of Departments to enhance organizational efficiency. 

 

KEY RESPONSBILITIES : 

 

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution

 

  • Collaborate with leadership to implement Organizational strategies and priorities.
  • Monitor progress on key initiatives / projects and provide regular updates to MD’s office. 
  • Analyze business data and prepare reports, dashboards, MIS and presentations for executive decision-making. 
  • Assist MD’s office with Go to Market Strategies for Product segmentation, geographical segmentation and Channel Partner segmentation 
  • Assist MD’s office with preparing a 3 year rolling Business and Financial Plan and monitor the same at quarterly intervals. 
  • Monitor Company level goals and targets and collaborate with HOD’s to enable achieve the said goals and targets. 
  • Monitor Financial Budgets (Capex and Opex) and collaborate with HOD’s and Financial Controller to enable achieve the said goals and targets. 
  • Maintain relations between stakeholders, HOD’s and MD’s office to ensure synergies between them 
  • Act as the primary liaison between MD’s office and internal/external stakeholders.

 

  1. Research & Analysis: 

 

  • Conduct in-depth research on markets, competitors, and emerging trends.

 

  1. Task Management 

 

  • Maintain a Tracker of all the tasks assigned to the key stakeholders by the MD’s office 
  • Follow up regularly on open tasks to ensure timely completion 
  • Escalate open tasks beyond the committed Turn around Time (TAT) 

 

  1. Project Management: 

 

  • Drive special projects from conception to completion. 
  • Track the progress of strategic projects and initiatives. 
  • Follow up regularly on open tasks to ensure timely completion 
  • Escalate open tasks beyond the committed Turn around Time (TAT) 

 

  1. Management Representation

 

  • Manage communication and liaison with external parties. 
  • Draft presentations, speeches, and reports on behalf of MD’s office. .
  • Review the MOMs (Minutes of Meeting) drafted by the executive assistant / other stakeholders.

 

  1. QUALIFICATION 

 

  • Masters degree in Finance / Operations and Engineering degree preferred 
  • Certification in MS Office and AI tools.

 

  1. EXPERIENCE 

 

  • 5+ years of overall post qualification experience with at least 3+ years in Strategic or Operational leadership roles.

 

  1. SKILLS 

 

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills. 
  • Conflict Management and problem-solving ability 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality.
