Job Description
JOB Role – Assistant Manager – Project Management –
Exp : 10+ yrs
CIVIL Coordinate the Conception, Planning, Execution (to incl Monitoring & Control) & Closure of projects in the field of Waste to Energy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning & Execution Monitoring
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Liaise with team heads to plan & implement actions for improved technical operations.
- Ensure that plant operations are coordinated and completed within a set deadline and available budget.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within given scope & budget.
- Efficiently manage the relationship with the vendors, client and other stakeholders.
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
- Interact with clients/ vendors to clarify specific requirements of the project. Managing Project Teams
- Manage a team of site engineers and sr. engineers for execution of bio energy project within given time, budget and quality.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of given project. • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Manage changes to the project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
- Delegate tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels. • Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Reporting & Controlling
- Report and escalate to Program Manager, Project Director & Senior Management as needed.
- Develop spread sheets, diagrams, process maps as per requirement.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Reporting to Program Manager on day-to-day progress, including the relevant activities of company’s centralized operations team.
- MIS report preparation and presentation to internal team and client on weekly/ need basis. Other Responsibilities
- Use and continually develop leadership skills.
- Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from senior management.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technical processes, functions and requirements in bioenergy industry.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with clients.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies to ensure a risk-free and safe work environment. • Organize training programs for staff in the department to enhance their skills and improve their job knowledge. Mentor and motivate a technical team to put in their best effort to improve level of project performance
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is a site role, requires the employee to work at a BioCNG Plant site within fast paced working environment. The project lifecycle generally spans for 12 to 14 months, post which the employee is to be assigned to the next project/ central teams based on demonstrated performance
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Civil).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
- Experience with project management software tools/ ERPs.
PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIRMENTS
- Well versed with QA / QC procedures for Civil / Mech and Electrical works
- Qualifications in project management (PMP/PMS/Six Sigma), MBA in PM
- Certifications in HSE & Industrial Safety practices MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Proven working experience of minimum 10 to 15 years.
- Proven working experience in project management of minimum 4 to 5 years
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in Biogas / Waste treatment / Biomass power plant / process plants etc.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong inclination for safe execution of project.
