Job Summary
1. Market Research and Analysis
• Conduct thorough research to identify potential markets for exports.
• Analyze target market demand, customer preferences, and local competition.
• Study cultural, economic, and legal factors that influence market entry and sales.
2. International Marketing Strategy Development
• Develop global marketing strategies tailored to each country or region.
• Identify the appropriate market entry strategies (e.g., direct exporting, partnerships, joint
ventures).
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotions suited to foreign audiences.
3. Brand Positioning
• Adapt branding and messaging to fit the cultural and regulatory environment of each target
market.
• Ensure that the company’s value proposition resonates with international customers.
4. Product Adaptation
• Modify product offerings (e.g., packaging, labeling, and features) to comply with local regulations
or consumer preferences.
• Work with product development teams to customize products for different markets.
5. Pricing and Costing
• Determine export pricing strategies considering tariffs, taxes, exchange rates, shipping, and
production costs.
• Ensure competitive pricing in foreign markets while maintaining profitability.
6. Sales and Distribution Management
• Identify and establish relationships with distributors, agents, or local partners.
• Manage international logistics and distribution channels.
• Coordinate with supply chain and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
7. Legal and Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure adherence to international trade laws, tariffs, and export regulations.
• Manage export documentation, customs procedures, and trade agreements (e.g., Free Trade
Agreements).
8. Customer Relationship Management
• Build and maintain relationships with foreign clients, agents, and distributors.
• Provide after-sales support and manage customer feedback to maintain satisfaction.
9. Digital Marketing and E-Commerce
• Develop digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media, and e-commerce, to reach global
audiences.
• Manage online platforms for international customers and ensure a seamless user experience.
10. Trade Shows and International Events
• Represent the company at international trade shows, expos, and business events.
• Network with potential buyers, partners, and influencers in the export market.
• Organize product demonstrations and presentations for global audiences.
11. Negotiation and Contract Management
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with international buyers and distributors.
• Ensure contracts are aligned with both the company’s and the clients’ requirements.
12. Promotions and Advertising
• Design and execute advertising campaigns in international media, both traditional and digital.
• Coordinate with local marketing agencies in foreign markets for tailored promotional activities.
13. Cross-Cultural Communication
• Navigate cultural differences in communication, negotiation, and marketing.
• Train and manage teams to work effectively in multicultural environments.
