Job Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Piping Discipline lead

Qualification: BE/BTech in Mechanical or Chemical

Specialization (Not mandatory): ME/MTech/Course in Piping or Post graduation in Piping

Working Days & Timings: 5 working days , 9.30 am to 6.30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

•         Shall be able to work as a Piping Lead engineer for the project
•         Overall planning, monitoring and proper execution of piping activities/ deliverables for complete life cycle of the project.
•         Coordination with all stake holders ( Client, Inter discipline engineers , Area and working engineers etc.)
•         Checking and Coordination and Inter disciplinary check of Engineering Deliverables
•         Review Piperack planning and Finalization of Piperack layouts and sections.
•         Preparation of Piping design basis, Model review procedure, Painting, Insulation specification, PMS and VMS etc.
•         Review & verification of Technical specification (MR) for piping, fittings, manual valves and specialities etc.
•         Preparation of Piping fabrication and erection tender, Technical bid evaluation of the tender.
•         Review and verification of Technical bid evaluation, Vendor drawing review for piping, fittings, manual valves and specialities etc.
•         Presenting 30%, 60% and 90% model review (Internal and External) for entire project.
•         Tags Resolution and Closure with Client for 30%, 60% and 90% model Reviews.
•         Review of Inter disciplinary vendor drawings for consistency check of piping interfaces.
•         Interdisciplinary Checking and Coordination for Process PIDs, Vendor GAs, Structural GAs.
•         Issuing of equipment layouts.
•         Issue of IFC Isometrics as per Project schedule ensuring quality checks.
•         Issue of IFC Piping layouts as per project schedule ensuring quality checks.
•         Equipment Erection plan
•         Equipment layout development
•         Engineering Support during construction /Tie in schedule/ Site Visit.
•         Cost data Cost estimation during FEED/ tender preparation.

Key Skills Required:

•         Familiarity with ASME B 31.3 code for process piping
•         Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, API, MSS SP and IS standards
•         Familiarity with Autocad and proficiency in MS Office.
•         Familiarity with Statutory codes like IBR, OISD etc.
•         Interdisciplinary knowledge
•         Preparation of equipment layout
•         Understanding /Development of Plot Plan
•         Proficient in Piping material specifications
•         Proficient in Valve and specialty data sheets.
•         Awareness of 3D modelling
•         Proficiency in 3D review ( Navisworks) software.
•         Review, Verification of Piping layouts and Isometrics
•         Familiarity with stress analysis concepts.
•         Construction sequence and erection methodology concepts
