Job Description: Contracts Manager (Infrastructure & PMC)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contracts Manager / Senior Contract Administrator to oversee contract administration and official correspondence for our ongoing infrastructure projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all non-technical contractual documentation, drafting formal responses to client inquiries, and assessing the commercial/contractual impact of client requests.
This position spans the entire project lifecycle, including Detailed Project Reports (DPR), Detailed Design, and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) phases. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for contractual risks and exceptional business writing skills to protect the company’s interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Administration & Compliance: Oversee the administration of prime contracts between the firm and the client, ensuring strict adherence to terms, timelines, and deliverables.
- Correspondence & Letter Management: Act as the primary gatekeeper for official
incoming and outgoing project correspondence. Draft, review, and finalize high-quality
formal letters, notices, and responses to client queries.
- Impact Analysis: Evaluate client inquiries, change requests, or instructions to identify
non-technical impacts, such as Extensions of Time (EOT), scope creep, financial
variations, or legal liabilities.
- DPR & Detailed Design Phase Management: Manage contractual obligations and
correspondence during the pre-construction phases, ensuring client approvals on DPRs and designs are formally documented to avoid delayed payments or penalties.
- Claim & Dispute Management: Identify, contractualize, and prepare formal
documentation for variations, extra items, and claims. Prevent or mitigate potential
disputes through proactive correspondence.
- Inter-departmental Coordination: Collaborate closely with Technical Directors, Project Managers, and the Legal/Finance teams to gather factual inputs before formulating final responses to the client.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or Law. A post-graduate
diploma/degree in Construction Management, or Contract Law is highly preferred.
- Location:- Ahmedabad HO Office (Work from office)
- Experience: 15+ years of minimum experience in an Infrastructure Consulting, PMC, or EPC firm.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven track record of handling contracts across PMC, Detailed
Design, and DPR stages for major infrastructure projects (highways, railways, metro,
water, etc.). Familiarity with FIDIC or standard government contract conditions is a plus.

- Analytical Thinking: Ability to read between the lines of a client’s query to identify hidden risks or opportunities for variation claims.

- Negotiation & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interface with client
representatives and internal stakeholders effectively.
