Designation: Senior Process Engineer

 

Industry: Engineering Consultant

Qualification: Ideally Masters in Chemical Engineering or Min. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemical Engineering

Working Days & Timings: 5 days, 12.00 noon to 8.00 PM

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting Lead Process Engineers in all aspects of Process Design to deliver engineering solutions at Concept, FEED and detailed design project phases.
  • Develop sizing calculations for Process equipment (Pumps, Heat Exchangers, distillation columns, compressors, separators, reactors etc.) and provide information in the form of equipment datasheet
  • Preparing process equipment and instrument-related documents for project requirements within a given time frame
  • Prepare and review design documents/drawings such as P&IDs prepared by the design team
  • Keep up to date with new developments of standards, process soft-wares, procedures and implement them in the day to day work
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and chemical process simulators. Experience gained on production sites will be a plus.
  • Perform site visits to complete site surveys, site meetings, and other site related activities
  • Prepare process specifications, drawings (PFD, P&IDs etc.), and process deliverables.

  3. c) Heat and mass heat balance
  4. d) P&I diagrams
  5. e) Material selection diagrams
  6. f) Line list
  7. g) Equipment list
  8. h) Process data sheets for equipment
  9. i) Instrument datasheet
  10. j) Control philosophy
  11. k) Cause & effect sheets

Preferred

  • Ideally chartered or working towards chartership.
  • Familiarity with process design in a chemical process plants environment
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
