About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Country Manager to lead the establishment and operations of a power transmission manufacturing plant in India.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in power transmission, electrical equipment manufacturing, plant operations, business development and P&L management, with the ability to build and lead an organization from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall India operations and business strategy.
• Drive the establishment, commissioning and operationalization of the manufacturing plant.
• Develop and execute the India business and growth strategy.
• Manage P&L, budgets, operational performance and business targets.
• Build and lead teams across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, sales and administration.
• Develop relationships with key customers, EPC companies, utilities and industry stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee production, quality, procurement, supply chain and operational efficiency.
• Drive localization of suppliers, processes and manufacturing capabilities.
• Work closely with global leadership and align Indian operations with international standards.
• Identify new business opportunities and strengthen the company’s market presence in India.
• Establish performance metrics and ensure achievement of business and operational objectives.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering; MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 15–20+ years of relevant experience in power transmission, electrical equipment or related manufacturing industries.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing plant operations and power transmission products/equipment.
• Proven experience in P&L management, business development and organizational leadership.
• Experience in setting up or scaling a manufacturing facility will be highly preferred.
• Strong exposure to Indian power utilities, EPCs and industrial customers.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with multinational/global organizations will be an advantage.
