Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Head – Application Engineering to lead the application engineering function for a leading electrical appliances company. The role will be responsible for technical solution development, product application, customer support, product validation, and coordination with R&D, sales, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Application Engineering team and manage technical activities.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into suitable product/application solutions.
• Provide technical support to sales and key customers.
• Drive product selection, application development, testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with R&D, Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality and Sales teams.
• Develop technical specifications, application guidelines and product documentation.
• Support new product development and product improvement initiatives.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Handle customer technical escalations and ensure timely resolution.
• Support product demonstrations, trials and technical presentations.
• Identify opportunities for product customization and value engineering.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, safety and quality standards.
• Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and develop the application engineering team.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 12–18 years of relevant experience in electrical appliances, consumer durables, electrical products, or related industries.
• Strong experience in application engineering, product development, technical solutions and customer support.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, components, controls and testing.
• Experience managing technical teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, trials and technical discussions.
