Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Safety Director to lead and strengthen the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) function for a large industrial chemical manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing world-class safety standards, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving a strong safety culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall EHS strategy for the chemical manufacturing facility.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement safety policies, SOPs, and risk management programs.
• Conduct HAZOP, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
• Drive Process Safety Management (PSM) initiatives.
• Coordinate with government authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Lead emergency response planning, mock drills, and crisis management.
• Train and mentor employees on EHS best practices.
• Monitor safety KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and lead the plant safety team.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• Diploma/Advanced qualification in Industrial Safety preferred.
• 15–25 years of experience in EHS within the chemical, petrochemical, or process manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, Process Safety Management (PSM), HAZOP, and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience managing plant-level safety operations and leading EHS teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
