Hiring: Sales Director – Automation Industry

Location: Pune
CTC: Up to ₹60 LPA
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and scale the sales function for a fast-growing organization in the automation industry. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, building key customer relationships, and leading high-performing sales teams across regions and segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Drive revenue growth, order booking, and profitability across automation solutions
  • Lead, mentor, and scale regional and national sales teams
  • Manage and grow key accounts, strategic customers, and large enterprise clients
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and industry segments
  • Work closely with engineering, application, marketing, and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Oversee channel partners, distributors, and system integrators
  • Track sales performance, forecasts, pipeline, and key metrics
  • Lead high-value negotiations and closure of large automation projects

Required Experience & Skills

  • Strong background in industrial automation / factory automation / process automation sales
  • Proven experience in senior sales leadership roles (Sales Head / Sales Director / Business Head)
  • Demonstrated success in handling large-ticket B2B sales and solution selling
  • Experience managing national or multi-region sales teams
  • Strong understanding of automation products, systems, and project-based sales
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Education

  • Engineering degree (Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Automation preferred)
  • MBA or management qualification is an added advantage
