National Head – Sales

Industry: Pipe Manufacturing / Building Materials
Location: Pan India
CTC: Up to ₹40 LPA (Negotiable)
Experience: 15+ Years

Job Purpose

The National Head – Sales will be responsible for driving the overall sales strategy, revenue growth, and market expansion across India for the pipe business. The role involves leading regional sales teams, strengthening channel partnerships, expanding key accounts, and building sustainable market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Growth

  • Define and execute the national sales strategy aligned with business goals
  • Drive revenue, volume, and profitability across all regions
  • Identify growth opportunities in infrastructure, real estate, industrial, and retail segments
  • Expand market share through new product launches and geographic penetration

Channel & Key Account Management

  • Strengthen distributor, dealer, and channel partner networks nationwide
  • Manage strategic key accounts and institutional customers
  • Negotiate large contracts, pricing, and commercial terms
  • Ensure effective trade schemes and channel engagement programs

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop zonal and regional sales teams
  • Set targets, monitor performance, and drive accountability
  • Build a high-performance, results-driven sales culture

Market & Business Development

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics
  • Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and production teams
  • Support demand planning and forecasting to ensure supply alignment

Governance & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting and MIS reporting
  • Maintain compliance with sales processes, policies, and controls

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 15+ years of sales leadership experience in the pipe industry (PVC, CPVC, HDPE, GI, MS, or similar)
  • Proven track record of managing pan-India sales operations
  • Strong exposure to dealer/distributor-led markets and project sales
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, competitive environment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or related field
  • MBA preferred
