Role Summary:
The Lead Tester owns the overall test strategy and is responsible for defining and driving test processes, planning, coordination, and reporting. They also manage UAT support and lead the evaluation and integration of no-code and code-based test automation tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and document the test strategy, plans, and processes (manual and automated).
- Manage the full test lifecycle for each release cycle, including scope, coverage, timelines, and risk-based prioritization.
- Evaluate, select, and implement no-code automated testing platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks, preferably using Playwright.
- Create and maintain robust automated test cases for functional and regression testing.
- Oversee functional and non-functional testing activities (e.g., performance, accessibility).
- Coordinate and support UAT planning, execution, and feedback loops with business stakeholders.
- Maintain test documentation, defect logs, and test reports.
- Mentor and coordinate the work of test analysts and ensure best practices are followed.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in software QA and test management.
- Strong proficiency in designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks, preferably with Playwright or similar tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Hands-on experience creating automated test cases for web applications and APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into release workflows.
- Strong understanding of tax, finance, or compliance systems (preferred).
- Experience with UAT coordination and stakeholder communication.
- Familiarity with no-code/low-code automation platforms (e.g., Testim, Leapwork, or Katalon).
- Excellent planning, reporting, and communication skills.
