Designation :  General Manager – Engineering (Maintenance)

Exp : Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience

Locations – Hariza, Surat Location..

Domain :  Marine & Landside Equipment

Reports to  : Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Qualification : Preferably Mechanical Engineering Graduate 

Job Type : Full Time 

Purpose : To head the Asset Maintenance Department and to ensure the assets are available for uninterrupted operation

Key Responsibilities

• Management and maintenance of assets including barges ,material handlers , Tippers, PayLoaders, Excavators, Trailers etc 
• Ensure planning and scheduling maintenance activities for the Equipments with emphasis on cost and quality.
• Ensure effective implementation and control of maintenance activities in order to keep all assets readily available of operations. 
• Preparing a detailed annual plan/budget for the operation and maintenance managing capex and opex including spares stock etc to ensure 100 % utilization of all fleet.
•  Planning for the procurement of optimum required spares considering different maintenance activities
• Ensures that the maintenance works are carried in an efficient and safe manner as per quality, safety and industry standards
• Ensuring targeted equipment availability through design and implementation of an effective preventative and responsive maintenance system. Minimum breakdowns and proper maintenance of the equipment
• To monitor closely the activities in mechanical workshop & establish a roboust process for 24/7 activities by the team 
• To establish a system to for daily monitoring of availability of Equipment for smooth operation
• To evaluate transportation & Material management system and suggest improvements for better control.
• Responsible for vendor evaluation, development, up-gradation and vendor management
• Ensure all compliances required as per local autorities with reagrd to Safety & environment .
• To closely coordinate with all stake holders to ensure that assets for both sea & Land side are available for smooth and efficient operation
• To ensure maintaining the MIS as required by the Management. 

Skills & Knowledge

• Knowledge of marine and terrestrial equipments/handlers 
• Should have sound experience of logistics firm 
• Should have experience of creating/ Managing a strong team..
