JOB PURPOSE

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead with a strong full-stack development background and expertise in building, securing, and scaling web applications. The ideal candidate is hands-on with Vue.js, PHP, and CodeIgniter4, and is ready to take on a leadership role, guiding a team in designing robust solutions. Experience with AWS and DevOps practices is a plus. Exceptional written and spoken English skills and familiarity with Western business environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead a team of developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure quality delivery.
• Solution Design: Architect end-to-end technical solutions that meet business requirements, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Development & Code Quality: Actively participate in hands-on development, writing high-quality code using Vue.js, PHP, and CodeIgniter4, while ensuring code reviews and best practices are followed.
• Project Management: Create and allocate tickets, manage timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver projects on schedule.
• DevOps & Deployment: Collaborate closely with DevOps to streamline CI/CD pipelines and optimize deployments in AWS environments.
• Security Compliance: Oversee security protocols and ensure all solutions adhere to best practices in data protection and vulnerability mitigation.

Required Skills & Experience

• Full Stack Development: At least 6 years of hands-on development experience with a focus on Vue.js, PHP, and CodeIgniter4.
• Engineering Leadership: Proven track record of leading engineering teams, with the ability to allocate tasks, manage project timelines, and inspire team collaboration.
• Solution Design & Architecture: Strong skills in designing secure, scalable, and maintainable applications, with experience in system architecture.
• DevOps & AWS: Solid exposure to DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation), Linux and familiarity with AWS services, deployment, and monitoring.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent spoken and written English, with a professional background that includes working on Western projects and understanding Western business practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced AWS Skills: In-depth knowledge of AWS services, such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, and S3, for optimized cloud infrastructure.
• Enhanced Security Knowledge: Proficiency in security frameworks, vulnerability testing, and implementing secure coding practices.
• Project Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like Jira for effective ticketing and task management.
