Reports to: Director of Operations

Job Location: Remote

Office Days & Timings:- 5 days, 9-6 p.m.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Country Head, India will serve as the senior leader responsible for the oversight and management of all operations in India. Duties include strategic planning, financial management, team leadership, relationship management and forming strategic partnerships to continue to improve recognition of Institute  in the region. The incumbent will ensure the daily administration of the organization by implementing policies, procedures, and programs either directly or through subordinates to effectively meet customer requirements and local regulations. Serving as the primary representative of Institute  in India, the Country Head will foster relationships with members, volunteers, partners, customers and key stakeholders to drive sustained impact in the region. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with an extensive network of key business entities, government, academic institutions, training providers in India either directly or through subordinates.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for leading Institute in a way that helps to meet the organization’s goals, manage the budget as well as the staff of Institution.
  • Develops and implements strategies and implements programs that will successfully promote the organization’s mission.
  • Maintains open and effective communication with all stakeholders timely and accurately, by providing disclosures of conditions, operations, and needs of the organization.
  • Supports and directs public relations activities to build and maintain relationships within the India region and creates strategic partnerships with related and industry organizations.
  • Facilitates periodic audits and compliance activities for the India entity.
  • Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff. Responsible for setting goals and completing performance reviews of staff. In addition, will be responsible for addressing performance deficiencies of staff if needed. Reviews and provides constructive feedback when necessary.
  • Oversees preparation of the Institutes annual budget. Manages the anticipated operating costs of the India entity within the approved budget, ensuring maximum resource utilization and the maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position through the fiscal budget process.
  • Executes other duties as requested by customers and approved by the Board of Directors.
  • Either directly or through subordinates: Enhances the recognition of Institute in the region as described in the position summary.
  • Proactively manages retention and supports local member issues.
  • Working with Marketing, improves the Brand and position of Institute in the region.
  • Develops strong communication channels in the region including managing the regional website, managing social media accounts and representing Institute in events and meetings.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the organization’s mission and vision. At least five years of prior management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate management, governance principles, and managerial best practices
  • Have an ability to communicate effectively in English and be skilled in both written and oral communication skills, as well as have strong presentation ability.
  • Strong market development ability and keen market insight/analysis ability.
  • Significant experience in developing successful strategies and plans.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills with internal and external parties.
  • Aptitude for analytical thinking, capable of creative solutions to solve problems thoroughly and rapidly.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, take proactive measures against possible challenges, and resolve issues quickly, managing crises rapidly and effectively when necessary.
  • Impeccable organizational skills and keen sense of attention to details.
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter who can set priorities and work well independently and in a virtual team.
  • Ability to manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel
